Mars and sun are in the same star(jupiter) for Vrushaba Lagna, Mars becomes retrograde in the progressed chart
Can we say Progressed Mars and Progressed sun have retrograde effects, but natal mars and natal sun don’t have those retrograde effects while considering western aspects?

Also both sun and mars are in debilitation in natal chart, will the retrograde effects have some cancellation of debilitation?
